Nerikiri Workshop
A look back at an afternoon spent exploring the delicate art of nerikiri with award-winning tea master and Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador, Budoor Steele.
Nerikiri is a traditional Japanese confection made from sweetened white bean paste, often shaped by hand and inspired by the changing seasons and forms found in nature.
During the workshop, Budoor shared her knowledge of Japanese tea culture and guided us through the process of shaping and creating our own nerikiri. Each piece was made by hand, with its own small details and character.
A slow afternoon of learning, making, and sharing good company at ANDO.
